Clive Lloyd Cricket World Cup Legend

Clive Lloyd as one of the West Indies great players and led his fantastic and talented team to their second World Cup Win in 1979 and was a key member of the West Indies team that won the very first World Cup in 1975.

Lloyd was a gifted left handed leading batsman and a wily left hand bowler. He led what was probably the best ever West Indies Outfit in the late seventies and had the like of Roberts, Marshall, Garner, Holding and Croft at his command, and batsmen of the calibre of Greenidge, Haynes and Viv Richards.

Lloyd's final record as captain was remarkable, including a run of 26 Tests without defeat, and 11 successive wins. He also became the first West Indian to win 100 Test caps.
